JackKnife took a step back; all he could do was look down at the ground. After a few long moments of silence, he finally summed up enough courage to speak again.

"I...understand." he replied, his gaze clouded over now. Then his comlink beeped.

" I have to go." He said. And JackKnife turned to make his way to the landing pad.

Tears finally escaped Bless's eyes. "Jackknife wait!" She ran to him, throwing her arms around him as he turned towards her. She kissed him once, softly, in sharp contrast to the gusto with which she'd launched herself at him. "Don't you dare think about not finding your way back here Autobot." 'I can't tell you how much I care. Gods, let him realize that I'm a foolish woman, but can't admit it,' she thought to herself.

" I will always find my way back to you." JackKnife said, holding her close. "Why do you think I fight as hard as I do? The dream that one day, we won't be seperated by all of this...." As he spoke, tears began streaming from his optics, running down his face.

"JackKnife, we gotta go!" came from his comlink. It was Drifter.


JackKnife looked sorrowfully into Bless' eyes.

"wait for me..."

And with that, JackKnife headed off, to do battle once more.

'No tears,' she thought to herself as she watched Jackknife leave. Bless wiped impatiently at the tears running down her cheeks. "Always," she whispered to the night air. With that promise made, she turned and made her way back to the Emerald Grove.
